Disclosures required by Federal Law and Additional Information

The Higher Education Opportunity Act (Public Law 110-315) (HEOA), enacted on August 14, 2008, reauthorized the Higher Education Act of 1965. The HEOA requires higher education institutions to make specific information, policies, and disclosures readily available to consumers, including current and prospective students and their families, current and prospective employees, and the community. This page centralizes this and related information.

Notice of Availability of Institutional and Financial Aid Information

Federal law governing federal financial aid programs requires the return of unearned federal aid funds to their respective programs when a student withdraws from the college before completing 60 percent of any payment period for which he/she received aid. Details about this policy may be found in the Financial Aid Consumer Information Booklet or in the current Academic Catalog.

Professional Licensure Disclosure

Federal Code amendment 34 CFR–PART §668.43 (a)(5)(v) requires that all institutions that participate in Title IV federal programs publicly disclose to prospective and currently enrolled students whether professional licensure programs meet the education requirements for licensure or certification for all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and specified U.S. territories. For the Disclosure, click here.

Annual Security & Annual Fire Report 

The Office of Campus Safety is required to record certain categories of crimes that occur on and near the campus. In addition to crime information reported to the Colleges’ authorities, Campus Safety also receives reports of criminal incidents from the Ashland Police Department. The report includes criminal incidents for the past three years and is distributed to the entire college community.
