Admitted Student FAQs

How to I accept my spot at Randolph-Macon?

This one’s easy! Visit your Applicant Portal to confirm your plans to attend Randolph-Macon. To make it official, submit your enrollment deposit by the deadline that corresponds with your chosen application plan.

How much financial aid have I been awarded?

Your financial aid information is available in your Applicant Portal. To maximize your aid eligibility, you must submit your FAFSA (use RMC’s code: 003733) so we can offer a comprehensive aid award.

How can I connect with other future Yellow Jackets?

There are lots of ways to connect with your future classmates! Attend one of our admitted student events, or connect virtually through our Facebook group.

When do I choose my housing and/or roommate?

In April, you’ll start receiving communications from our New Student Transitions and Residence Life teams that’ll provide direction on how to complete your New Student Forms. One of these forms will be the Housing Application. As a first year student, you’ll live in our Freshman Village, or in one of our living-learning communities.

Our detailed questionnaire helps us match you with a roommate. Not knowing your roommate may seem intimidating at first, but it’s a great way to meet new friends and get involved in new activities. If you have a roommate in mind, you can indicate that too!

When do I register for classes?

You’ll register for fall semester classes during your New Student Registration & Family Orientation Day. These events take place over the summer, and are designed to prepare you for a successful transition to Randolph-Macon. In 2024, New Student Registration Days will be held on the following dates: June 21, June 24, and June 26. Registration begins in April, when access to MyMaconWeb opens to new students.

When is move-in?

Our first year move-in is the kickoff to an exciting Welcome Week for new Yellow Jackets. Fall 2024 move-in day will take place on Thursday, August 29.
