Our commitment to graduate success endures.

For nearly 200 years, Randolph-Macon College has been held in high regard for preparing students to build lives of personal meaning and professional value.

Our mission? To develop the mind and character of students.

Today, the college continues to draw national recognition for its success
assembling hands-on experiences tailored to students’ individual goals and career aspirations.

putting learning into action

Our connected curriculum lets undergraduates explore ideas across the sciences, humanities and arts, in more than 55 fields. We connect the great tradition of the liberal arts with emerging fields – and a graduate-level Physician Assistant (PA) studies program as well. In the classroom and beyond, students engage with their studies in a hands-on way, through internships, faculty-mentored research, and travel abroad.

“I felt at home during my first year at Randolph-Macon. As a freshman, I was terrified to start college, but quickly made extremely close relationships with not only my peers, but with the faculty and staff at RMC. I felt extremely supported by the professors throughout my first year, as they encouraged me to learn without boundaries, share my ideas, and gain experience without fear of being wrong.”

a network of college-wide support

Student success is a community value. Professors, staff, career-planning advisers, coaches and even alums welcome students to our community just 15 minutes from Richmond. And then, they all work closely with students to help them achieve. 94% of students report having a professor who cares about them as a person – that’s a personal difference that pays dividends for life.

Personalized Pathways to Careers and Graduate School

We’re thinking ahead, just like you. In class and all across campus, students sharpen their interests and discover new passions. Their studies and the ways they lead, serve, and solve problems outside the classroom are directly connected to what they do next. It’s no surprise then that, as graduates, they are known for their problem-solving, social acumen, professionalism, character, and civility.
