RMC Announces Tenure and Promotion of Professors

Randolph-Macon College President Robert R. Lindgren is pleased to announce that the Board of Trustees recently voted to approve the tenure and promotion status of several faculty members.

The following faculty members were granted tenure and promotion to associate professor:

Sarah E. Cribbs (sociology & anthropology) joined the faculty in 2014. She earned her B.A. from Roanoke College, her M.A. from University of Louisville and her Ph.D. from University of Oregon.

John W. McManus ’84 (computer science) joined the faculty in 2014. He earned his B.A. from Randolph-Macon College, and his M.S. and Ph.D. from the College of William & Mary.

Bartolo A. Natoli (classics) joined the faculty in 2014. He earned his B.A. from University of Richmond, his M.A. from University of Texas at Austin, his M.Ed. from Colorado State University, and his Ph.D. University of Texas at Austin.

Benjamin S. Ramage (biology) joined the faculty in 2013. He earned his B.S. from University of Massachusetts and his Ph.D. from University of California.           

The following faculty member was granted tenure:

Kimberly M. Gerecke (psychology) joined the faculty in 2017. She earned her B.S. from Muskingum College, her M.A. from University of Richmond and her Ph.D. from University of Alabama at Birmingham.

The following faculty members were promoted to full professor:

Jen Cadwallader (English) joined the faculty in 2009. She earned her B.A. from Alfred University and her M.A. and Ph.D. from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Nora S. Green (chemistry) joined the faculty in 2004. She earned her B.S. from Eckerd College and her Ph.D. from The University of California, Los Angeles.

Melanie Gubbels Bupp (biology) joined the faculty in 2009. She earned her B.S. from Creighton University and her Ph.D. from University of Colorado.

Rebecca R. Michelsen (chemistry) joined the faculty in 2005. She earned her B.A. from Occidental College and her Ph.D. from University of Minnesota.
