RMC Announces New Board of Trustees Members
Randolph-Macon College President Robert R. Lindgren and Board of Trustees Chair Sue Schick ’84 are pleased to announce that two ex-officio members have joined the college’s Board of Trustees. Dee A. Raubenstine ’80 has been named incoming President of the Society of Alumni, and Cristin K. (Bauby) Traylor ’97 will serve as the new Chair of the Board of Associates. They will begin their terms on October 12, 2019.
“We are honored that these two distinguished alumnae will share their expertise and enthusiasm as members of the Board of Trustees,” says RMC President Robert R. Lindgren.
Dee A. Raubenstine ’80
Raubenstine graduated from RMC in 1980 with a degree in English.
Since 2000, Raubenstine has served as Director of Development & Sponsor Events for The Richmond Forum, a nonprofit educational organization that brings national and international speakers to Richmond, Virginia. Speakers have included past U.S. presidents, sitting heads of state, leaders from the sciences, arts, business, and more.
At The Richmond Forum, Raubenstine is responsible for raising support from Richmond’s corporate community for Forum programs; the logistics for each evening; Board relations; and fundraising for the Forum’s newest program: the Richmond Region Speech & Debate Initiative.
A dedicated alumna, Raubenstine has served on the Society of Alumni since 2010. She previously served on the Reunion Committee; is a member of the Presidents Society; and has for many years shared her time and talent at the college’s EDGE Boot Camp. Raubenstine is also active in several Richmond professional and civic organizations.
Cristin K. (Bauby) Traylor ’97
Traylor graduated from Randolph-Macon in 1997 with a degree in sociology and psychology. She earned her J.D. from Quinnipiac University School in 2000.
Traylor began her legal career with McGuireWoods LLP and is currently Discovery Counsel, managing the firm’s Richmond Review Center. In this role she advises clients on information governance, data privacy, preservation, collection, review and production of all types of documents. She was a founder and former President of the Board of Nurture, a non-profit dedicated to improving health and wellbeing of Richmond’s childbearing families through fitness, education and community engagement.
Traylor is a devoted member of the Randolph-Macon community. A member of the Presidents Society, she has served on the Board of Associates since 2012; served as Chair of Macon Connections; and was a member of the Greek Alumni Advisory Committee. In addition, she regularly volunteers for the EDGE Boot Camp and as an Annual Fund Volunteer Solicitor.
