Randolph-Macon College will celebrate its 16th annual International Education Week (IEW) November 18 – 24, 2019. The theme of this year’s IEW is “Lines of Communication: Tradition and Change.”

IEW, held at hundreds of colleges around the world, celebrates cultural diversity. RMC’s Office of International Education, as well as other departments and student organizations, have organized a variety of events that explore cultural diversity. All events are free and open to the public.

How much do you know about world geography? RMC students with ties to other countries will represent those countries by sharing stories, music, presentations, candies, displays of decorations and clothes, and more. Learn more about your peers on campus and their cultural backgrounds!

2nd Annual WorldVision Song Contest
6 – p.m., SunTrust Theater, Brock Commons
Sponsored by the Department of Modern Languages

Students of French, German, and Spanish will compete in this annual karaoke performance event for the title of WorldVision Champions. They will be judged on their mastery of their chosen song, their choreography, and general enthusiasm. Come cheer them on and hear some great international music!

Japanese Fan Painting / Chinese Paper-cutting

Join us for a Japanese craft and Chinese paper‐cutting art party! Participants will paint on Japanese fans (uchiwa) and fold origami. Learn how to cut Chinese characters out of paper, and take your artwork home.

All About Study Abroad at RMC

What are your fellow RMC students doing and experiencing around the world? Come find out! Meet students who have already been abroad, and see pictures sent by students who
are currently everywhere from Germany and France to Taiwan. We’ll talk about J-term study/travel classes and semester abroad, but there are other ways to go abroad, too, like the Peace Corps, Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange, the Davis Peace Prize and more, even after graduation!
