Dr. Bartolo A. Natoli

Natoli-2017Dr. Natoli was born in Heidelberg, Germany in 1985. After moving to America, he took his B.A. in Latin, Greek, and Secondary Education from the University of Richmond in 2007.  He took his M.Ed. in Adult Education and Training from Colorado State University in 2012. Finally, he took his Ph.D in Classics from the University of Texas at Austin in 2014.  

A specialist in Ancient Sexualities and the intersection of Classics and Pedagogy, Dr. Natoli has authored numerous publications and participated in multiple international conferences on those topics.  He is particularly interested in the use of technology to teach Latin and Greek.

In addition to his research, Dr. Natoli is also an active member of several professional organizations. Currently, he serves as the Editor of the Classical Journal Forum and as a member of the Editorial Board of the Classics journal, Teaching Classical Languages.  He is also the Coordinator of the Virginia Governor's Latin and Japanese Academies.
