RMC Welcomes Five New Tenure-Track Faculty Members

Randolph-Macon College recruited and hired five talented tenure-track teacher-scholars to join the faculty at the start of the 2023-2024 academic year.

Kimberly Cox joins the RMC faculty as an Assistant Professor of Biology after previously serving as a visiting assistant professor here. She earned her B.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Virginia and her M.A. from the University of Texas.

Nadhira Hill ’16 returns to her alma mater as an Assistant Professor of Classics and Archaeology, and Director of Archaeological Studies. She earned her B.A. from Randolph-Macon College and her Ph.D. from the University of Michigan.

Erin McDonnell-Jones joins the Education department as an Associate Professor. She earned her B.S. from Pennsylvania State University, her M.A. from West Chester University, and her D.Ed. from Wilmington University.

Jan Powell joins the RMC faculty as an Assistant Professor of Theatre. She earned her B.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Oregon and her M.A. from Reed College.

Justin Smith joins the RMC faculty as an Assistant Professor of English and Black Studies. He earned his B.A. from Canisius College and both his M.A. and Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University.

These educators join a faculty committed to scholarship and mentoring students in departments across the academic landscape.
