Randolph-Macon College remains a premier undergraduate institution, according to The Princeton Review. The education services company highlighted RMC in its guidebook “The Best 392 Colleges: 2027 Edition,” which features only about 14% of the four-year colleges in the United States.

In addition to being named one of the best colleges in both the Mid-Atlantic region and the country, Randolph-Macon also earned recognition on several lists of top schools in categories derived from student surveys. RMC maintained its top rankings in Town-Gown Relations (#8), a measure of how well students get along with the local community, and Best Career Services (#13). The College also debuted on multiple lists, including Most Engaged in Community Service (#10), Best-Run Colleges (#17), and Great Financial Aid (#22).

The Princeton Review cited those student surveys in its profile of the College, praising “a rigorous liberal arts education distinguished by its commitment to a focus on well-rounded individuals.” It particularly lauded RMC’s experiential learning opportunities, like a J-Term class abroad, and “accessible professional development resources like the Edge Boot Camp and leadership training.”

The profile also highlighted the strength of the close relationships at the core of the RMC experience, noting that “the college’s small class sizes foster the ability to have personal relationships with professors” and that “students put a huge emphasis on involvement and belonging.” Moreover, it praised the College’s student life, “where there is always something to do on campus.”
