Randolph-Macon College offers an application that can be accessed and submitted directly through our website. Students can begin and save their progress to return and complete at any time.
The Common Application is a college admissions application that you may use to seamlessly apply to any of the 900+ member colleges and universities, including Randolph-Macon College.

Admitted students who’ve not yet submitted their enrollment deposit have the option to be placed on the waitlist, or have their acceptance deferred to Fall 2026. The following application materials are required for applicants who’ve earned an associate’s degree (AA/AS) prior to enrolling at Randolph-Macon.
Select and complete either the Common App or the Randolph-Macon College Application. You only need to complete one, not both. Both applications are free of cost.
You must submit official college transcripts from any and all institutions you’ve attended full-time, part-time, or as a degree seeking student since graduating high school. Transcripts must be received directly from the institution and can be submitted through an electronic transcript service, by email, or mail.
To receive official credit for college courses, including Dual Enrollment (DE) courses, all students must submit their official college transcripts at the time of enrollment. While we can provide unofficial transfer credit evaluations beforehand, official credit will only be granted upon receipt of the official transcripts.
Official transcripts from all institutions are required no later than July 1.
All transfer students are required to submit a College Report from the last college or university attended. No matter which application you used to apply to RMC, please use the College Report form link above. Once the form is completed, please scan and email it back to our office at admissions@rmc.edu.
In addition to the materials listed above, the following will be required for applicants who will NOT have earned an associates degree (AA/AS) prior to enrolling at Randolph-Macon.
Your official, final high school transcript(s) must be submitted by a school official through the Common Application, a third party electronic service (Scoir, Parchment, etc.), email, or mail.
Applying with Test Scores
If you’d like to have standardized test results considered in your admission review, please indicate so when prompted on the application. We superscore both the SAT and ACT.
Self-reported scores may be used for application review. Upon enrolling, students who are not test optional must submit their official test scores. These scores can be sent directly through the testing agency, or can be listed on their official high school transcript.
Randolph-Macon’s test code for SAT is 5566 and for ACT is 4386.

We consider a transfer student to be anyone that earns a high school diploma and then enrolls at a college following graduation. We do not have a minimum number of required hours to be considered a transfer student. Whether you’ve earned 0 or 75+ credit hours, you are a transfer student.
To be considered for transfer admission, you must be in good standing with your current or most recent college. This means you must be eligible to return to that institution for the semester you’re applying to Randolph-Macon. Also, you must have a minimum cumulative college GPA (all work attempted at all colleges attended) of at least 2.0.
We review all college-level coursework for transfer credit. We will let you know which courses will transfer and how they can be applied to your degree at RMC. This evaluation takes place after admission and is performed by the Registrar’s Office. Typically, credit for academic work completed elsewhere will be accepted from regionally accredited colleges and universities if the courses are appropriate to the academic curriculum of Randolph-Macon College and a grade of C- or above is achieved. Students may transfer up to a maximum of 75 credits. At least half of the credits required to complete a student’s major must be taken at RMC.
No, only course credit transfers to Randolph-Macon. The GPA you earned at any other accredited institution is relevant only for determining eligibility for admission.
Yes! We offer academic scholarships for our transfer students. If accepted, you will automatically be considered for our merit scholarships that start at $23,000 per year. No separate scholarship application is required.
Yes! The college policy is for all students to live on campus, whether they are new transfers or incoming freshmen. Exceptions include:
A transfer student has previously attended another institution after high school, and is now enrolling at Randolph-Macon to continue their education. These students bring completed college credits or academic experience from former institution(s) – which, subject to evaluation and approval, can count toward their degree requirements at Randolph-Macon.
