Internships offer a real-world setting for connecting academic learning with future goals. Experiential learning is vital part of the RMC experience, and required for many majors.
The Bassett Internship Program coordinates academic credit for qualifying internships completed by juniors and seniors. These 3-credit-hour internships require a minimum of 130 hours of paid or unpaid supervised work.
The Edge team connects students with opportunities for paid and volunteer internships to gain experience in their field. These are open to all students and may be eligible for academic credit through the Bassett Internship Program.

Ahron Flowers ’14 has hosted RMC students for internships at Penn Medicine’s Tara Miller Melanoma Center the past two summers.
Taylor Gordon ’26 completed an internship with the museum house in Richmond, putting her history major to work interpreting the estate’s paintings and what they tell us about the period.
