RMC Announces Newly Elected Chair of Board of Trustees

Randolph-Macon College President Robert R. Lindgren is pleased to announce that Sue Schick ’84, of Wayne, Pennsylvania, has been elected chair of the College’s Board of Trustees. Schick, whose tenure as chair began on Saturday, May 4, 2019, succeeds Alan B. Rashkind ’69, who served 10 years of highly distinguished service as chair. Other officers elected by the Board on Saturday include Lee B. Spencer Jr., of New York City, as vice chair and Stephen P. Long ’82, M.D., of Richmond, as secretary.

“We are absolutely delighted to welcome Sue to this important role,” says RMC President Robert R. Lindgren. “She is a dedicated alumna whose philosophy—‘pay it forward’—informs all that she does, both personally and professionally. Sue is a strategic thinker and a treasured member of the RMC family, and we are grateful for her leadership, expertise and passion for RMC.  She will no doubt join a long list of distinguished leaders of our board who have provided magnificent leadership to the College, most especially the predecessors I have been privileged to know:  John Clements ’52, Beverly Dalton, Macon Brock ’64, and Alan Rashkind ’69.”

Schick is thrilled to serve her alma mater in this new capacity. “Randolph-Macon College is making an extraordinary difference in the lives of its students,” says Schick.  “I’m enthusiastic to serve an organization that has meant so much to me and my family, and I’m humbled to continue in such a distinguished line of volunteer leaders.”
