Nov. 8 at RMC: “An Evening with Steve Forbes and Moira Forbes”
In conjunction with the Arthur McKinley Reynolds Lecture Series, Randolph-Macon College will present “An Evening with Steve Forbes and Moira Forbes” on November 8, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. in Blackwell Auditorium, RMC Center for the Performing Arts (205 Henry St.). Map and Directions
Steve Forbes, chairman and CEO of Forbes Inc. and chairman and editor-in-chief of Forbes Media; and Moira Forbes, executive vice president of Forbes Media, will participate in a moderated discussion and Q&A.
There is no charge for tickets to this event; however, reservations are required.
Steve Forbes
Steve Forbes is chairman and editor-in-chief of Forbes Media, the technology driven global media and branding company. Forbes.com has become one of the world’s most influential websites, with nearly 60 million unique visitors a month. The company’s flagship publication, Forbes, is the nation’s leading business magazine, with a readership of 6.2 million in the U.S.
Forbes writes editorials for the publication under the heading of “Fact and Comment.”
A widely respected economic prognosticator, he is the only writer to have won the highly prestigious Crystal Owl Award four times. Forbes’ most recent book is Reviving America: How Repealing Obamacare, Replacing the Tax Code and Reforming the Fed will Restore Hope and Prosperity, co-authored by Elizabeth Ames.
In 1985, President Reagan named Forbes chairman of the bi-partisan Board for International Broadcasting. Forbes was reappointed to his post by President George H. W. Bush and served until 1993.
Forbes serves on the boards of The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and the Heritage Foundation. He is also on the Board of Overseers of the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
Moira Forbes
Moira Forbes is the executive vice president of Forbes Media, where she is responsible for programming and branding Forbes events worldwide and driving new business initiatives across the company’s diverse media platforms. She is also the president and publisher of ForbesWoman, a multi-media platform dedicated to successful women in business and leadership. She is currently the host of “Success with Moira Forbes,” a video series featuring one-on-one interviews with today’s top leaders, and she regularly contributes to Forbes’ diverse global media platforms.
Launched by Forbes Media in 2008, ForbesWoman includes a website, a global digital community and a variety of content-rich live forums and events.
Moira Forbes joined Forbes Media in 2001, overseeing research and marketing for the Forbes’ European edition, in addition to developing business opportunities on behalf of all the company divisions. She was named associate publisher of Forbes’ dedicated lifestyle magazine, ForbesLife, in 2004, and president and publisher of ForbesWoman in 2008. In 2010, she founded the Forbes Executive Women’s Board, an organization dedicated to harnessing the collective power of women in business to drive sustainable change. She is also a contributor to Forbes’ list of the 100 World’s Most Powerful Women.

Arthur McKinley Reynolds Jr. is a retired ophthalmologist who earned a bachelor’s degree in physics from RMC in 1947 and a degree in medicine from VCU School of Medicine. He is a member of the Randolph-Macon Presidents and Heritage Societies, serves on the Boydton Society Executive Committee and previously served on the Society of Alumni Board of Directors. He is also a former president of the Boydton Society.
Past guest speakers for this special series include former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist George Will, the late commentator Charles Krauthammer, and writer, lawyer and commentator Ben Stein.
