Message of Support to UVA Community

We are closely following updates on the tragic news from the University of Virginia,  where five students were shot on campus on Sunday night.

Our hearts and prayers go out to our friends and colleagues in Charlottesville at this very difficult time and especially the deceased and injured students and their families. We stand steadfastly in support of the UVA community.

Students, faculty, and staff are invited to visit Brock Commons lobby for an opportunity to write a note of support or to offer a prayer. These comments will be shared with our friends at UVA, through an alumna who serves their faith community.

Randolph-Macon’s campus is open and operating normally at this time. Now and always, RMC will not hesitate to engage our law enforcement partners to investigate and respond to threats of any variety.

As you work to process this violence, remember that support is available for students through the RMC Counseling Center and UWill.

Let’s take care of each other and ourselves.
