Welcome Week concludes with Impact, a day focused on using your time, talents, and Yellow Jacket spirit to make a difference. Start the day at the SERVE Impact Rally and Service Projects, where you’ll discover opportunities for service at RMC and put your skills into action through hands-on projects. Take your adventure to new heights on the RMC Outdoor Programming Zip Line and Ropes Course, or show your Yellow Jacket pride by cheering on Football in its home opener at Day Field and Field Hockey at Nunnally Field. Then, close out an unforgettable Welcome Week with Late Night Brock. From serving others and supporting your community to showing up for your fellow Yellow Jackets, Impact Day is your chance to make your mark and see how each of us plays a part in Building Something Bigger.

RMC Adventure: Zip Line and Ropes Course Adventure
Join RMC Adventure for thrilling ziplines and challenging high ropes obstacle courses at Canopy Adventure Park! Take your Welcome Week experience to new heights as you challenge yourself and make memories with other Yellow Jackets along the way. It’s the perfect opportunity to step outside your comfort zone and add a little adventure to your first week at RMC! RSVP required and space is limited. Please note that participants must be 18 years or older.

SERVE Impact Rally
Randolph-Macon College students, faculty, and staff will volunteer at five community-centered service projects that support local partners in Ashland. These projects give RMC students an opportunity to engage in meaningful, hands-on community service. Volunteers will bring joy to residents through bingo at the Ashland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, complete a trail cleanup, organize donations at the Hull Closet, and create crafts with children at the Ashland Library as well as read with them. These hands-on projects offer meaningful ways to honor the 9/11 Day of Service through connection, creativity, and kindness for the Ashland community as well as Hanover County. Make sure to complete the Volunteer Registration and Waiver!

Late Night Brock: Fall Bingo
Kick off your first weekend after classes by joining the Late Night Brock Staff in the Randolph-Macon College classic: BINGO! Whether you’re looking for fun or looking for something to do to get your mind off homework, BINGO is for everyone. You may come for the BINGO, but you will likely stay for the free snacks to fill your late-night cravings with other YJ’s. Not feeling BINGO? That’s perfectly fine with us, you can come and meet other YJ’s and potentially be a lucky winner of a new lifelong friend. Will you be a lucky winner of a prize for winning a round of BINGO?
