Leadership Fellows are invited to participate in a tradition spanning over a decade, the Emerging Leaders Weekend.

An Introduction to Emerging Leaders Weekend

The Emerging Leaders Weekend is a pre-orientation program that welcomes our students to Randolph-Macon and prepares them for future success. Leadership Fellows get geared up for an exciting weekend of co-curricular experiences that will teach you about leadership, Randolph-Macon College, the Leadership Fellows Program, and other first-year Leadership Fellows.

First-year Leadership Fellows are encouraged to participate in the Emerging Leaders Weekend in their first year if at all possible. All Leadership Fellows must participate prior to completing the program.

The Leadership Fellows Program is fortunate to partner with the Truist Leadership Institute to produce Emerging Leaders Weekend.  In addition to stellar training provided by Randolph-Macon College staff and students, Emerging Leaders Weekend participants also receive the Truist Emerging Leaders Certification. The program focuses on self-efficacy, self-regulation, and personal development and growth. The Truist Emerging Leaders Certification is a highly valued credential, and we are so excited to work with our partners at Truist to deliver this high-impact experience that promotes communication, relational understanding, and positive psychology.

When not learning about Leadership, New Leadership Fellows participate in a variety of extra-curricular activities. Seen here, a trio of Fellows are participating in Karaoke Night!
