To audition for LUXE Show Choir, complete the registration form as soon as possible. Select an in-person or online audition process, based on which option is best for you. Each process – and how to prepare – is detailed below.

In the application form, you will select either an in-person audition date or that you will submit it online. Check out the information below about the two audition options.

What to Wear
Instrumentalists: please dress comfortably and appropriately.
Singers: please wear comfortable and appropriate dance clothes and tennis shoes.
What to Bring

- Your own instrument, if applicable*
On Arrival
Please note that the entire audition experience and process begins from the moment you enter the audition room. The following is the order of the process from start to finish. Instrumental students will audition first and be dismissed first.
Singers will audition next, starting with vocals and then choreography. Our audition process does not allow for parents or spectators to be present.
Show Band Audition
All students auditioning for the band will play a personal song of their own choosing.
Please shorten your personal song selection to no more than 3 minutes in length. Please ensure the audition highlights an ability to play pianissimo and then fortissimo.
*Please bring your own instrument to use as one will not be provided. We will provide instruments for those auditioning for Piano, Synthesizer, Drums, Auxiliary, and Percussion.
Show Choir Audition
All students auditioning for the choir will sing “Happy Birthday”. To assess dance skill, students will be taught a choreographed routine, which will then be performed in front of a panel. Expect to perform the routine a handful of times alongside the other students auditioning.
Online Audition Process
Online auditions are accepted on a rolling basis. We highly encourage an early submission, as spots in the program fill up quickly.
Show Choir Audition
All students auditioning for the choir will sing “Happy Birthday”. Please record a video of you singing it a capella. Furthermore, you are required to learn the provided song and record a video of you singing it along with the accompaniment track.
We will provide you with a dance routine to learn on your own, also found within the audition materials google folder. Please record a video of you dancing to the routine.
We also will ask that you record a video of yourself answering a few interview questions:
- Why would you like to be accepted into the LUXE Show Choir & Show Band Program?
- What will make you a great asset to the team?
- Please describe one of the greatest lessons you have learned by participating in/on a team.
Lastly, we ask that you include a photo headshot in your submission.

Please dress comfortably and appropriately for your audition.

Show Band Audition
Please record a video of you playing one song of your choosing. You will want to limit the selection to no more than 3 minutes in length. Please ensure your audition highlights your ability to play pianissimo and fortissimo.
We also will ask that you record a video of yourself answering a few interview questions:
- Why would you like to be accepted into the LUXE Show Choir & Show Band Program?
- What will make you a great asset to the team?
- Please describe one of the greatest lessons you have learned by participating in/on a team.
Furthermore, we ask that you include a photo headshot in your submission.
What to Wear:
Please choose between a blazer and dress pants or a dress and heels for the formal instrumental audition.
