To audition for LUXE Show Choir, complete the registration form as soon as possible. Select an in-person or online audition process, based on which option is best for you. Each process – and how to prepare – is detailed below.
Auditions
In the application form, you will select either an in-person audition date or that you will submit it online. Check out the information below about the two audition options.

What to Wear
Please choose between a blazer and dress pants or a dress and heels for the formal vocal/instrumental audition. Singers, please bring comfortable dance clothes and tennis shoes to change into for the dance segment.

On Arrival
Please note that the entire audition experience and process begins from the moment you enter the audition room. Please dress formally upon arrival, as we will first start with the instrumental/vocal auditions. The following is the order of the process from start to finish. Instrumental students will audition first and be dismissed first. Our audition process does not allow for parents or spectators to be present.
Show Band Audition
All students auditioning for the band will play a personal song of their own choosing and a provided piece, which will be given at the start of the audition.
Please shorten your personal song selection to no more than 3 minutes in length. Please ensure the audition highlights an ability to play pianissimo and then fortissimo.
We will provide ample time to learn the provided piece before performing it.
*Please bring your own instrument to use as one will not be provided. We will provide instruments for those auditioning for Piano, Synthesizer, Drums, Auxiliary, and Percussion.
Show Choir Audition
All students auditioning for the choir will sing a music theater-inspired song of their own choosing. Please shorten personal song selection to no more than 3 minutes in length. To assess dance skill, students will be taught a choreographed routine, which will then be performed in front of a panel. Expect to perform the routine a handful of times alongside the other students auditioning.
Online Audition Process
Online auditions are accepted on a rolling basis. We highly encourage an early submission, as spots in the program fill up quickly.
Show Choir Audition
Please select a musical theater song of your choosing, and record a video of you singing it a capella. Please limit the selection to no more than 3 minutes in length. Please ensure your audition highlights your ability to sing pianissimo and fortissimo.
We will provide you with a dance routine to learn on your own, also found within the audition materials google folder. Please record a video of you dancing to the routine, as well as a video of you singing to the provided song when you are ready.
Lastly, we ask that you include a photo headshot in your submission.

Please record a video of you playing one song of your choosing. You will want to limit the selection to no more than 3 minutes in length. Please ensure your audition highlights your ability to play pianissimo and fortissimo. Please dress based on one of the outfit options found at the top of this webpage.
Please record a video of you playing the provided song found in the audition materials google folder.
Lastly, we ask that you include a photo headshot in your submission.
