Tips & Tricks To Help You Make the Most of Your Education at Randolph-Macon College
Take charge of your education. Your success and/or failure is up to you.
Approach college life with a positive “can do” attitude. Focus on what you are learning and not just the grades you are getting.
Trust small beginnings and small steps. They will lead to bigger and better things.
Get to know your professors.
Find a study partner for each of your classes.
Attend every class and try to arrive early.
Be attentive, ask questions, take good notes, and try to stay organized.
Seek help right away. Do not wait until you are in trouble. A good study partner, mentor, and/or professor can be “great” assets.
Do the work and tackle the hard or important things first. You’ll find that the easier things can be completed more quickly, often leaving you with extra down time.
Study when you don’t feel like studying.
Always challenge yourself before anyone challenges you.
Amplify your strengths. Pursue your strongest interests first.
Maintain good friendships and have fun. Create moments that you’ll remember with a smile.
Take full advantage of ALL RMC resources.
Always remember to say “Thank You.” A little kindness goes a long way.
