Randolph-Macon Professors Earn Tenure and Promotion
Randolph-Macon College President Robert R. Lindgren is pleased to announce that the Board of Trustees recently voted to approve the tenure and promotion status of several faculty members.
The following faculty member was granted tenure and promotion to associate professor:
Laura Vasel (Nursing) joined the faculty in 2019. She earned her BSN from The College of New Jersey, her M.S.N. from Virginia Commonwealth University, and her Ph.D. from Mercer University.
The following faculty members were promoted to full professor:
Hal Breitenberg (Religious Studies and Ethics) joined the faculty in 2005. He earned his B.A. from the College of William & Mary, an M.M. from Catholic University, and an M.Div. and Ph.D. from Union Theological Seminary & Presbyterian School.
Nazneen Khan (Sociology and Anthropology and Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies) joined the faculty in 2018. She earned her B.S. and M.S. from Brigham Young University and her Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Laurie Massery (Hispanic Studies and Spanish) joined the faculty in 2012. She earned her B.A. and M.A. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and her Ph.D. from the University of Florida.
Bart Natoli (Classics) joined the faculty in 2014. He earned his B.A. from the University of Richmond, an M.Ed. from Colorado State University, an M.Div. from Bexley-Seabury Seminary, and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin.
Robert Volpicelli (English) joined the faculty in 2015. He earned his B.A. from Ithaca College and his M.A. and Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University.
Lynda Wright (McGraw-Page Library) joined the faculty in 2005. She earned her B.A. from the University of the South, an M.A. from the University of Virginia, and an M.S. from Columbia University.
The following faculty member was promoted to senior lecturer:
Yoshiko Paris (Asian Studies) joined the faculty in 2016. She earned her B.A. from Ferris University and her M.A. from Michigan State University.
The following faculty members were conveyed to the rank of professor emeritus:
Kim Borchard (Hispanic Studies and Spanish) joined the faculty in 2009. She earned her B.A. and M.A. from Ohio University and her Ph.D. from the University of Chicago.
Gregg Hillmar (Theatre) joined the faculty in 2002. He earned his B.A. from the University of Richmond and his M.F.A. from the University of Texas at Austin.
