“Star-Spangled Girls” is performed by the Touring Theatre of North Carolina and based on letters and interviews from the Women Veterans Historical Collection at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro. In the play, five characters reunite 20 years after the end of World War II. Featuring 1940s era music, the women reminisce about enlistment, love, segregation, and service at home and abroad.
This event is sponsored by the Office of Student Life and by CASE (Committee on Assemblies and Special Events).
