RMC Celebrates Juneteenth with Staff Holiday Friday, Celebration Saturday

Randolph-Macon College is closed in celebration of Juneteenth on Friday, June 18. On June 19, the College welcomes the community for a Celebration of Black culture at Fountain Plaza.

Where: Frank Brown Fountain Plaza and Brock Commons

What: Join us for a short program including:

  • Remarks from RMC President Robert R. Lindgren, Hanover County Black Heritage Society board member Phyllis Winston Holloway, and Dr. Kenneth White ’12
  • Music from Linae Branch and Izrael Wortham

Then, enjoy:

  • Miss Ammie’s desserts from RVA Around the Table
  • Make your own Juneteenth-themed art 
  • A screening of the documentary short “Hair Love” in the Suntrust Theater
