Elizabeth Jones ’25 Selected as Commencement Senior Speaker
Elizabeth “EJ” Jones ’25, Randolph-Macon’s Student Government Association President, has been selected as the Senior Speaker for the 2025 Commencement ceremony. The senior speaker is chosen by the faculty Committee on College Life, in concurrence with the Office of the President, after auditions from prospective student speakers.
Jones, from Richmond, Va., is graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in French. In addition to the SGA presidency, she has demonstrated her leadership as a New Student Transition Captain, a campus tour guide, President of Order of Omega, Vice President of the Young Democrats Club, and a member of the Pre-Law Society.
Jones also had the distinct honor of serving as the student representative on the Presidential Search Committee, interviewing and moderating panel discussions with incoming RMC President Dr. Michael Hill.
Jones has been a dedicated member of the Delta Zeta sorority, serving in several different leadership positions. She was also inducted into Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK), a prestigious collegiate national leadership honor society. This May, she was honored by ODK with the Janet Harvey Trivette ’78 & W. Proctor Harvey, Jr. Endowed Student Award, recognizing superior scholarship, leadership, and exemplary character. Following graduation, Jones will be interning in Randolph-Macon’s Advancement Office before moving to Manhattan to work as a Client Services Associate for AlphaSights, an international consulting firm.
