Girls and Women in Sports Day at RMC

Did you know, 1 in 3 girls drop out of sports before high school? Many don’t even try sports before high school. Let’s change that!
What is National Girls and Women in Sports Day?
National Girls and Women in Sports Day was created in 1987 to encourage girls nationwide to engage in sports.
Who is this event intended for?
Girls in grades 1-6.
What if I don’t have any experience playing sports?
No skill is required – just a positive attitude and an open mind!
What happens after the sports sampler?
FREE pizza in the dining hall and FREE admission to RMC Women’s Basketball vs. Roanoke College at 2:00pm will be provided.
What is the cost to attend?

This event will be hosted by RMC SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee), representatives from softball, field hockey, lacrosse, volleyball, soccer, golf, basketball and more will be there to demo and lead stations.
