🅿️ Parking & Meeting Location | Ashland Town Center in front of the Domino’s Pizza
🕘 Departure time | 9 a.m. via charter bus
🎟️ Cost | $45/person, includes lunch at Hanover Tavern
Schedule of the Day
9 a.m. | The charter bus will depart from Ashland Town Center
9:30 a.m. | Arrive at Slash Christian Church, formerly St. Paul’s the Upper Parish where Patrick Henry, Sr. was rector for 40 years (1737-1777)
10 a.m. | Leave for historic Pottomoi Church
10:25 a.m. | Leave for Rev. Samuel Davies’ homesite on Pamunkey Drive
10:45 a.m. | Leave for the 600 acre Laurel Grove Plantation belonging to Patrick Henry’s maternal grandfather
11:15 a.m. | Leave for Rural Plains where Patrick’s wife grew up and where they were married in 1754
11:35 a.m. | Leave for “The Honeymoon Cottage” of Patrick Henry and the Pine Slash Farm of 300 acres given to Patrick and his first wife, Sarah, by her father, John Shelton.
12 p.m. | Leave for the historic Polegreen Church
12:50 p.m. | Leave for lunch at Hanover Courthouse, the oldest dinner theatre in America, today called Hanover Tavern.
3:00 p.m. | Return to Ashland
