Few places evoke more powerful memories than one’s alma mater. In recognition of the lifelong connection to Randolph-Macon that so many of us have experienced, the Boydton Society, in collaboration with College leadership, has established a dedicated space to serve as a final resting place for members of the RMC family.

Nestled in the heart of our historic campus, the completed memorial garden is thoughtfully landscaped with native plants, creating a warm, peaceful, and welcoming environment. The garden is designed to hold the cremated remains of cherished members of the Randolph-Macon community.

If you or a loved one would like to learn more about the memorial garden, please contact alumni@rmc.edu.

In response to our request, the College has created a lovely memorial garden in the shadow of Old Chapel on the historic campus. The garden includes native plantings where cremation ashes may be scattered or interred. Surrounding the plantings is a circular brick wall with memorial plaques commemorating each person whose ashes have been placed in the garden.
