
Dr. Marcelle Davis, MBA
Dr. Marcelle Davis serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Randolph Macon College. She is an experienced HR executive assisting organizational leaders to advance their culture using the collection and analysis of workforce metrics to ensure all aspects of the workforce have equity at its core. Marcelle excels at assessing organizational landscapes and implementing strategies that embed inclusion into core business practices. She equips leaders with practical tools and frameworks that enable them to move beyond the ideation of inclusion toward full integration, ensuring equity becomes a sustained, measurable part of how the organization operates.
Marcelle’s experience extends to academia, which includes the design and professorship of undergraduate and graduate courses. These courses include strategic leadership, business continuity, strategic management, organizational development, and human resource management. Marcelle has published a book titled Measuring Inclusive Leadership with G.R.A.C.E., articles in several academic journals, the Pediatric Annals and Savoy Magazine, and has also authored micro-learnings for a global learning organization. She has been a keynote speaker and presenter at a variety of conferences, both nationally and internationally, for more than 15 years.
Marcelle received the following awards: RAGAN in 2021, Top 100 Diversity Officer and Top 50 Woman Leader in VA in 2022, HR Superstar in 2023, RAGAN finalist in 2024, NADOHE corporate excellence and Black Graduate Student Association (BGSA) Black Excellence Faculty in 2025. She was also recognized by Marquis Who’s Who in America for her extensive work in the field of Leadership. Marcelle holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, an MBA and a Doctor of Strategic Leadership. She also sits on the Board of Directors for Family Lifeline and Special Olympics of Virginia.
