We have one main goal at Randolph-Macon: to develop the minds and character of our students. We do this by creating education “on a human scale” with small classes, close relationships with our talented and dedicated faculty and staff, and a commitment to combine a broad-based liberal arts education with intentional career preparation that will prepare you for a successful future.

Throughout your four years, you will reap the benefits of The Edge, our comprehensive career preparation program that will give you the tools to be successful in securing employment or gaining entrance to graduate or professional school.

You will also have the opportunity to connect to other cultures through our study abroad programs and to the real world through our extensive internship opportunities. You may also experience moments of discovery through our nationally recognized undergraduate research program.

I would like to personally invite you to visit our beautiful campus. Sit in a classroom, take a tour, and talk to students and faculty. Meet with our terrific staff and learn about our scholarship and financial aid programs and how affordable a Randolph-Macon education actually is. Our location is ideal, near our state capital and in Washington D.C.’s “backyard,” and we are convenient from just about anywhere.

President and Mrs. Lindgren invite groups of new students to their home for dessert in their first few weeks at the College. This event has become an annual tradition, with invitations extended to every new student.
Lindgren collaborates closely with the College Cabinet and the Board of Trustees.
Student Government Association President Abi Detrich joined President Lindgren to sign a panel of the cupola that was later installed on the top of Duke Hall, built in 2022.
President Lindgren was proud to show former President Ladell Payne around Payne Hall. This building, home of the RMC nursing program, was named after Ladell and HAP Payne, in honor of their contributions to the College.
Cheryl Lindgren is an ever-present member of the RMC community, forming her own strong bonds with faculty, staff, and students at numerous events.
Lindgren is a serious sports fan who knows Yellow Jackets Athletics as well as anyone. Well, anyone but Buzz!?
President Lindgren joins families each summer to sign the College's four-year degree guarantee, RMC's commitment to support students in graduating on-schedule.
Lindgren is deeply connected in RMC's alumni community and takes great pride in helping make connections between alumni and students at events like the Edge Boot Camp.
