Threat Assessment Team (TAT)

All members of the College community share the responsibility of ensuring campus safety and promoting a secure environment. Enhancing campus safety involves everyone in the community recognizing behaviors that could present a potential threat and promptly reporting such concerns in a compassionate and timely manner.

The TAT gathers information about troubling behavior or misconduct from various channels. Upon conducting an assessment, the team identifies the most effective means for providing support, intervention, and a suitable response. Subsequently, the team mobilizes its resources, along with those available through the College and community, to coordinate follow-up actions.

Behavioral Assessment and Intervention Team (BAIT)

The Behavioral Assessment and Intervention Team is composed of representatives from academic and student affairs who convene weekly to discuss and devise interventions for individual students facing challenges.

This team reviews available information regarding the student and the circumstances, considering strategies previously employed while exploring additional interventions.

The BAIT methodology aims to empower self-advocacy and link students with the appropriate office(s) offering tailored resources for their specific needs.

In essence, BAIT:

  • Receives reports concerning non-emergent issues (such as medical concerns), disruptive behavior, problems, violence, or any concerning conduct.
  • Determines the most effective means for providing support, intervention, notification, and response.
  • Mobilizes its resources, along with those from the campus community, and coordinates subsequent actions.

BAIT encourages faculty, staff, fellow students, and family members to voice concerns about student behavior or issues they believe may be harmful to the student or the community.
