To be eligible, students must meet all eligibility requirements for federal financial aid, and funds will be disbursed to students based on a combination of criteria including enrollment, expected family contribution and financial need. Students who meet eligibility requirements may also apply for additional consideration of emergency resources by submitting a detailed request of exceptional circumstances to the Office of Financial Aid at financial-aid@rmc.edu.
The estimated total number of RMC students eligible to participate in the CARES Act program under Section 484 in the Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and thus eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students under Section 180049a0(1) of the CARES Act is over 1331 students.

HEERF II
HEERF II: Randolph-Macon College received approximately $1.7 million from the Department of Education in Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds II which was created under the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA). The funding required that $529,119 must be spent on students and the remainder could be used by the College for extraordinary costs related to the pandemic.
Randolph-Macon College acknowledges that the institution has signed and returned the Certification and Agreement and the assurance that the institution has used the applicable amount of funds designated under the CRRSAA programs to provide Emergency Financial Assistance to student to the Department.
HEERF II/CRRSAA: The Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplementation Appropriations Act (CRRSAA) was signed into law on December 27, 2020. Section 314 of the CRRSAA created a second Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund called HEERF II to provide emergency financial assistance to students. Funds could be used for any portion of the student’s cost of attendance. Those items include tuition, technology, food, housing health or childcare. Randolph-Macon College received $529,119 which must be awarded to students. According to stipulations in the CRRSAA, priority for the funding is given to Pell eligible students and students experiencing exceptional financial need due to the pandemic. With these guidelines in mind, awards were distributed to students based on financial need using the financial aid application and supporting materials. The estimated total number of RMC students eligible to participate in HEERF II is over 1600 students.

The funding required that $1,380,311 must be spent on students and the remainder could be used by the College for extraordinary costs related to the pandemic.

Randolph-Macon College received $1,380,311 which must be awarded to students.
