Wes Nichols '86
Nichols, who earned his B.A. in psychology from R-MC and his M.B.A. from The Johns Hopkins University, is co-founder and CEO of MarketShare, a leading analytics company that helps companies grow revenue more efficiently by quantifying what is driving demand.

Nichols, a dedicated alumnus, generously shares his time and expertise with the R-MC community. He serves on the college's Board of Trustees, and in 2011, he presented a lecture to R-MC students, faculty and staff in conjunction with Randolph-Macon's Executive Speakers series. Nichols explained, using case studies and demonstrating MarketShare's unique software, how microeconomics and macroeconomics are used in marketing and advertising. His talk also explored econometrics and its relevance in today's market.

R-MC presented Nichols in 2011 with the Society of Alumni (SOA) Distinguished Alumnus Award. The SOA created the award to honor those alumni who have achieved wide recognition through contributions made to society through their chosen professions.

In 2013, Nichols served as the keynote speaker at R-MC's SURF (Schapiro Undergraduate Research Fellowship) Symposium, where he shared his views on the rapidly changing world of marketing.
