Printing

The printing system paid for by the library allows you to send jobs from your own personal computers (on campus, either wired or on the wireless). You will need the Pharos print drivers found at the link below:

On the print driver page you will need to pick which printer driver is right for your operating system; MAC Package for OSX, Library Lab Printer for Windows OS.

Once downloaded and installed the printers in the library will be available to use on your own computer.

The library has two multi-function printers, capable of printing, photocopying and scanning.

  • Printing per page: B&W = 12¢, Color = 35¢
  • Photocopying per side: B&W = 12¢, Color = 35¢

To use the printers one must purchase a printing card at the circulation desk in front of the printers. The card is $1.00 (cash only), which covers the cost of the card and applies a 50¢ balance. To add money to the print card, use the same machine, cash only. There is no way to link a print card to an individual so please keep track of them, if lost we cannot identify them.

All library computers are connected to the printers and are able to send print jobs to them. Color and duplex options must be chosen at the computer before sending the print job to the printers.

A print card is not necessary for scanning at the printers. Instructions on how to scan items are available on the printers. Scanned items can either be emailed directly from the machines or saved to a user provided USB thumb drive.

Large Format

Instructional Design & Technology can facilitate academic large-format printing. All jobs are printed on 36” satin paper at a cost of $8 per running foot.
