Apple Picking and Orchard Sustanability at Carter Mountain Orchardh

Join us for a fun afternoon of apple picking and learning about apple orchard operations and sustainability. Located in Charlottesville, Virginia, Carter Mountain Orchard overlooks dramatic vistas and acres of fruit trees and grapevines. Spots are available on a first come, first serve basis. RSVP today to reserve your spot for a fun day of hiking!
More information about the trip will be sent to students who RSVP soon but the following is the tentative plan for the trip:
12:00 pm – Depart R-MC
1:30 pm – Approximate Arrive at Carter Mountain Orchard
2:00 pm – Education Presentation and Apple Picking
4:00 pm – Depart from Larus Park
5:30 pm – Return to R-MC
Note: Cancellation must come one (1) week prior to the event date. Any cancellation or inability to show up after that period will result in a $20 fine.
