First Steps After Deposit

  • Complete an RSVP for one of our New Student Registration & Family Orientation Days – All new students are expected to attend. Learn more and RSVP(International Students are invited but are not required to attend.)

  • Visit the Office of New Student Orientation and Transition Programs at Accepted Students Day on Saturday, April 14th!

  • CLEAR YOUR CALENDAR - you will be busy Thursday, August 30th - Sunday, September 2nd. (Fall Athletes and International Students move-in prior and should follow the directions provided by coaches & Office of International Education staff.)

  • Students Should Set-up Their R-MC Student Email and Student Portal (My Macon Web) Accounts. Students will receive an email “R-MC Student Email and Student Portal (My Macon Web) - The Set-Up Process!” after deposit that will walk them through the process of setting up their R-MC credentials. They will need to do this before they can complete the new student forms listed below!

Now – June 1st
Start Completing Forms

  • Log Into MyMaconWeb (MMW). Through this platform students can view/submit required forms, billing statements, and course listings for fall. In the future you will also be able to review your grade reports here. (Log into MMW with the same login/password you use for R-MC email.)

  • Complete the Housing Preference Form (Due June 1) and submit electronically on MMW. (All students living on or off campus must complete this form.)

  • Complete the Disability Disclosure Form (Due June 1) and submit electronically on MMW. (Required of all new students.)

  • Complete the Student Information Form **Available by May 1st** and submit electronically on MMW. (Required of all new students.)

  • Complete the Family Data Form **Available by May 1st** and submit electronically on MMW. (Strongly suggested but not required of all new students.)

  • Begin working on the Financial Aid To-Do List. Please contact Financial Aid with any questions or concerns, or 804.752.7259.

  • Review the Health History Record. Please print and review this information before you attend a Registration Day. We find families often have questions and those can be clarified by a professional during these events. Obtaining the immunization history, receiving required immunizations, and the health care provider verification will take time. Be sure to begin preparing this document well in advance of the AUGUST 1st DUE DATE.
    • Your Immunizations and Health History Record with original signatures can be uploaded to the Patient portal: Faxes and Email will NOT be accepted.
  • Student Athletes will need to submit the Health History Record AND complete the New Athlete Pre-Participation Checklist. To compete in varsity athletics these items will
    need to be submitted by AUGUST 1st.

June 2nd - June 20th
Preparing for Registration Days

  • Be certain you are confirmed and review materials for a New Student Registration & Family Orientation Day

  • All Forms – Housing, Disability Services, and Student Information Forms - must be submitted prior to your Registration Day. You will not be able to register for classes until these documents are complete. Review submission status by logging into MMW.

  • Review the “Academic Advising” resources on MMW. This will be helpful as you get ready for advising and course selection at Registration Day. – Don’t become too concerned. An advisor will guide students through the advising process!

  • Register with the Yellow Jacket Loyalty Program for the R-MC Campus Store. By creating an account students will be able to shop on the website, place online orders and receive points for all purchases (in store and online). 

July 1st – August 29th
Get Ready for Move-In/Check-In Day!

  • Submit Your Health History Records. (Due August 1) Required of all students (athletes, residential, and commuters). You will need to print these forms and submit them with your immunization record by mail. Immunization records must be verified by a health care provider.
  • Your Immunizations and Health History Record with original signatures can be uploaded to the Patient portal: Faxes and Email will NOT be accepted.
  • Athletes Should ALSO Complete the Athlete Pre-Participation Checklist (Due August 1). This process includes a physical exam and sickle cell documentation. Students will receive additional information from coaches.

  • Check Your R-MC Email Daily.

  • Watch your R-MC inbox for a communication from Residence Life about housing assignment and roommate!

  • All Final Transcripts (High School, Dual Enrollment, College) and Scores (AP/IB) are due before you arrive. Be sure they are sent by your high school and/or colleges!

  • Review the Parent Portal Access Information and Grant Access to your Parents or other family members. Information about this portal was provided during Registration Day. Granting permission to a family member will allow them to view financial information (your bill), financial aid information, and academic information as you direct. Parent Portal information..

  • Get Your Computer and Cell Phones Ready:
    • Prepare for R-MC Wi-Fi BEFORE you arrive - Log into MyMaconWeb click on “Get Connected”, find your device and follow the steps!
    • Download and install your free Office 365 subscription – Log into MyMaconWeb click on “Get Connected” and move through “How To Install Office 365”.

  • Pay Your Bill. Check your Student Account Balance on MyMaconWeb click on the “Finances” tab. Be sure you have gone to the New Students My-To-Do List and completed all tasks.

  • Pack Your Bags. Residence Life has great resources that review what you should bring and what features to expect in your residence hall.

  • Buy Your Books. Visit the R-MC Campus Store and click on “textbooks”. Through this link you can find out which books you need for each class and will have the option to rent or purchase books.

  • Bring documentation for on-campus employment. If you’re planning to work on campus, you must have original documents that show identity and authorization to work. Copies will not be accepted. This is a list of all acceptable documents. Learn more at the student employment site.
