Randolph-Macon prides itself on being a caring and compassionate community. Through its dynamic Students Engaged in Responsible Volunteer Experiences program (SERVE), students celebrate the college’s tradition of service to others.
Jayme Watkins is the coordinator of co-curricular programs in the
Office of Student Life. Along with the various co-curricular offerings of Student Life, Watkins coordinates
SERVE, its student service opportunities, and serves as a liaison to the marketing department so that our students’ community efforts can be recognized on the R-MC Web site and in the greater community. “These awards are a way for us to highlight and honor the great work that students are doing. Students can record their volunteer hours via OrgSync. The monthly award winners are chosen based on their number of reported hours and, when applicable, the number of donations they have collected.”
The Above and Beyond Award is given to the student organization with the most service hours or philanthropic giving. The Round of Applause Award is given to the individual student with the most service hours or philanthropic giving.
