Our Programs:
In addition to serving as a leader in any number of our student organizations and athletic teams, Randolph-Macon College has several signature leadership programs. These are:
The Leadership Fellows Program - A multi-year program designed to engage students in co-curricular learning during their tenure at Randolph-Macon College. Randolph-Macon College Leadership Fellows may receive a Leadership Grant that complements other forms of aid in recognition of their past accomplishments and future campus involvement. Most Leadership Fellows will receive cumulative merit aid that will meet or exceed half of their tuition.
Emerging Leader's Weekend - A summer pre-orientation program to introduce Leadership Fellows to the leadership fellows program and the R-MC Community.
The Student Leadership Conference - An annual conference held on-campus that introduces student leaders to various topics in student leadership and facilitates collaboration and networking.
Guiding Principles:
The Office of Student Life believes that everyone has the ability to be a leader. We believe that leadership can be learned, modeled and taught to others. Leadership development, like all facets of education, is a continual process. In as much as we refer to the desire for our students to become life-long learners, we also hope they become life-long leaders. We challenge our students to examine their own values, beliefs, and choices as the develop their own personal leadership styles. Leadership Programs at Randolph-Macon College will prepare students to be agents of change in their own lives and the communities in which they live and work. Leadership programs at Randolph-Macon College will also challenge students to develop their minds and character throughout their Randolph-Macon experience.
