Fraternity and Sorority Life is a very important part of the Randolph-Macon Experience
for a large number of students. Fraternity and Sorority leaders gain skills that
prepare them for their future endeavors. In addition, Fraternity and Sorority Life
is a life-time commitment to leadership, accountability and values congruence. The
college along with the Fraternal Founders Society will be hosting the Greek Leadership
Institute Weekend from Friday, February 21, 2014 until Sunday, February 23, 2014.
Fraternity and Sorority Leaders will participate in an intentional experience designed
to build strong interfraternal and panhellenic bonds, develop a sense of community,
and to intentionally elevate fraternity and sorority life to the next leve.
Who Will Attend?
Executive members of the Inter-fraternity Council, the College Panhellenic Counc,
the National Pan-Hellenic Council, the Fraternal Founders Society, and all chapter
presidents are required to attend. Additionally, each chapter is required to have
at least one member in their first year of membership apply to be selected to attend
the GLIW. Please encourage multiple members to apply as we want to select the best
delegate for your chapter based on their interest and commitment to the fraternal
In addition to the staff from the Office of Student life, members of our community
will have the opportunity to interact with fraternity and sorority life professionals
and volunteers who bring their experiences to the table and will be able to offer
fresh perspectives to participants as well as to encourage and challenge the members
of our community as we work to elevate fraternity and sorority life at Randolph-Macon
Schedule and Goal
The Greek Leadership Institute Weekend will be an intense but fun experience. We
wil leave campus at 3:30pm on Friday, February 21 and will return around Noon on
Sunday, February 23, 2014. All meals and accomodations have been taken care of for
you during your trip. Our primary goal is that you come with a desire to learn,
build community, and elevate fraternity and sorority life.
