Cervantes Encyclopedia (2004, 2 volumes)

Dictionary of the Literature of the Iberian Peninsula (1993, 2 volumes)

Entries on writers and selected literary movements, styles, and literatures as well as a limited number of definitions. Covers the 10th century to the mid-1980s.
Feminist Encyclopedia of Spanish Literature (2002, 2 volumes)

Gale Virtual Reference Library (current, full text)

The Library of Congress Classification for Spanish Literature is PQ 6000-9000.

Books and articles not owned by our library can be obtained from other libraries through Interlibrary Loan. Allow sufficient time for processing. Average turnaround time is 3-5 days for articles and 3-14 days for books, excluding holidays and weekends. Submit ILL requests well in advance of deadlines.

JSTOR (dates vary by journal; full text)
An archive of over 400 journals in many disciplines.
Arts and Humanities Citation Index (1980 to date; citation only)
Articles in the arts and humanities fields.
Project MUSE (late 1990s to present; full text)
Coves over 300 journals in the humanities, arts, and social sciences.
Expanded Academic ASAP/Academic OneFile (1980 to date; some full-text)
Provides citations to articles from selected popular magazines and scholarly journals in all disciplines. Better for current information than for historical studies, but useful as a starting point for literary criticism.

Spanish-language virtual library with texts and criticism. Covers many Spanish authors in addition to Cervantes.

A digital exhibition of holdings of the George Peabody Library. Includes links to related sites.

Portal with resources selected by LoC subject specialists. Entries are annotated.
El Oteador
