Books and articles not owned by our library can be obtained from other libraries through Interlibrary Loan. Allow sufficient time for processing. CIAO (1991-present; full-text)
scholarly site dedicated to international affairs. Contains working papers, links to resources on international affairs, information policy, and economics relating to foreign policy.
LexisNexis Academic (dates vary, most 1990s-present ; full-text)
Provides full-text of legal, governmental, business, and general news information; searching under Legal Research and in News sources (particularly National or Regional papers) can be especially useful.
JSTOR (full text; dates vary by journal)
An archive of back issues of over 400 journals in many disciplines.
HLAS Online (Handbook of Latin American Studies) (Library of Congress)
A multi-discipline bibliography of Latin American sources selected and annotated by various scholars in the social sciences and humanities. The Handbook is intended to be a guide to availalbe sources on Latin America.

Provides background information on countries of the world.
Political Database of the Americas (Georgetown University)
A scholarly site maintained by which provides access to information about governments throughout the Americas. Specific information is provided on constitutions and constitutional studies, elections and electoral data, political parties, and the various governing structures.
LANIC The Latin American Information Center
The University of Texas at Austin provides comprehensive coverage of Latin America, including maps, encyclopedic information, statistical information, economic indicators, and links to news services.
Library of Congress Country Studies
McGraw-Page Library has many of these titles within its collection, but the most recent editions are available electronically from the Library of Congress.
