Focuses on poets born between 1910 and 1952 and lists works, anthologies, critical studies, interviews, etc. Not annotated.
Encyclopedia of Latin American Literature (1997)

Articles on countries, literary themes, and specific authors. Relatively short articles with extensive bibliographies and a general bibliography at the beginning of the volume.
Gale Virtual Reference Library (current, full text)

Latin American Writers (1989, 3 volumes)

The premier database for literature research. Provides a comprehensive international listing of books, articles, and dissertations.
PAIS International and PAIS Archive (1915 to present, some full-text)
From the Public Affairs Information Service, includes citations to articles, books, hearings, reports, government publications, and other resources from 120 countries in the fields of public policy, social issues, and international relations.
JSTOR (dates vary by journal, full-text)
An archive of over 400 journals in many disciplines.
ClasePeriodica (1975 to present, citation only)
Provides citations to articles published in Latin America in the fields of science and the humanities. Cites both English- and Spanish-language articles.
LexisNexis Academic (dates vary by publication, full-text)
Provides full-text news articles from a diverse group of sources, including national, international, and local newspapers. Use the guided search tab to search "World News," then search "North/South America News Sources."

The Latin American Information Center. Comprehensive portal to information on Latin America, divided into various categories, such as economy, humanities, society and culture, etc.
Cervantes Virtual
Spanish-language virtual library with texts and criticism. Covers many authors in addition to Cervantes.
Hispanic Reading Room (Library of Congress)
Links to other resources, collection information, events, etc. The site is also available in Spanish and Portuguese.
Voice of the Shuttle (University of California, Santa Barbara)
Site specifically geared to researchers in the humanities, including literature. Click on "Literatures (Other than English)" and select "Spanish" or use the search option.
El Oteador
