Curriculum

Slide of a fly EmbryoBiology is concerned with the study of living organisms from one-celled organisms to complex humans. It can be subdivided into various disciplines: the structure and function of organisms (anatomy and physiology), their relationship with the environment (ecology), how life perpetuates life (genetics), development from a single cell (embryology), and changes over long periods of time (evolution).

The Biology Curriculum (PDF) for majors affords students the flexibility to choose courses that interest them and meet requirements for graduate and professional programs, while exposing students to biology from the molecular to the ecological levels of organization.
