Best piece of advice for Freshmen: Enjoy every minute at Randolph-Macon because it flies by too fast. I am jealous of each and every one of you freshman, you all have four more years to go at my college!

Why did you come to R-MC: It was the first school that I toured where I felt really comfortable and thought that I could make this my home for four years. I loved the small class sizes and the interaction between students and professors. I also liked all the opportunties that a small school can give both academically and socially.
Best piece of advice for Freshmen: You'll only get out what you put in. These could be some of the best four years of your life, but you have to be willing to put in the effort. Take advantage of every opportunity that comes your way; you never know what you will learn and gain from something. If you do that, you are going to have to work very hard, but I promise it will be more than worth it. Aim high so that when you are senior, you will be able to look back and not have any regrets.

Why did you come to R-MC: I came to R-MC because it gave me the opportunity to play a varsity sport, get involved in student activities, and I liked the opportunity to know my professors on a one on one basis.
Best piece of advice for Freshmen: Don’t finish your first semester with a low GPA and find a way to balance your work and play, it is incredibly difficult to bring up your GPA through the rest of your college career and can limit your opportunities.

Why did you come to R-MC: I came to R-MC primarily because it was a beautiful small school that has a great community. Also, R-MC has amazing opportunities and resources for students. Additionally, it is a good distance from home for me and I received scholarship money.
Best piece of advice for Freshmen: Make the most out of your time in college... Don't be afraid of risks. Do your best. Ask plenty of questions. Take advantage of the countless opportunities before you. Use everything as a chance to learn something new, even if it isn't easy or convenient. Never give up, especially on people. Never underestimate the importance of real friends. Experience life and love it: never waste a minute!
