Important Dates to Know

New Student Move-In/Check-In & Welcome Week:

Thursday, August 31st & Friday, September 1st - Sunday, September 3rd

To be sure that you have all the information you need (and none that you don't) we have created four schedules.

New Student Checklist

CLEAR YOUR CALENDAR - you will be busy Thursday, August 31st - Sunday, September 3rd. (Fall Athletes and International Students move-in prior and should follow the directions provided by coaches & OIE staff)
  • Move-In & Check-In: Arrive at the Brock Center on Thursday, August 31st
    • Residential Students: 9:00AM - 12:00PM (After receiving check-in materials, students will settle into their rooms until 3pm when Welcome Week programming begins!)
    • Commuter Students: 2:30 - 3:15PM (Students will receive ID's, key fobs, parking decals, meet the head of Commuter Life and your Captain. Welcome Week activities will be reviewed. Expect to leave campus by 8pm)
  • Welcome Week: 3:00PM Thursday, August 31st to 4:00PM Sunday, August 3rd. Welcome Week is the official beginning of your experiences as a Yellow Jacket!

Complete All New Student Forms. (Now Due.) Log into MyMaconWeb to check the status of your forms. Remember forms without a submission date have not been received.

Submit Your Health History Records [pdf]. (Now Due.) Required of all students (athletes, residential, and commuters). You will need to print these forms and submit them with your immunization record by mail. Immunization records must be verified by a health care provider.

Athletes Should ALSO Complete the Athlete Pre-Participation Checklist [pdf]. This process includes a physical exam and sickle cell documentation.

Decide if You Will Grant Parent Portal Access. Granting permission to a family member will allow them to view financial information (billing records), financial aid information, and academic information.

Check Your R-MC Email Daily.

Get Your Computer and Cell Phones Ready:

  • Prepare for R-MC wifi BEFORE you arrive - Log into MyMaconWeb, click on "Get Connected", find your device and follow the steps!
  • Download and install your free Office 365 subscription - Visit this R-MC ITS Site and click on "Installing and Using" and move through the steps for Office 365.

Pay Your Bill. Check your Student Account Balance on MyMaconWeb, click on the "Finances" tab. Be sure you have gone to the New Students My-To-Do List and completed all tasks.

Pack Your Bags. Residence Life has great resources that review what you should bring and what features to expect in your residence hall.

Buy Your Books. Visit the R-MC Campus Store and clickon "textbooks". Through this link you can find out which books you need for each class and whill have the option to rent or purchase books.

Bring documentation for on-campus employment. If you're planning to work on campus, you must have original documents that show identity and authorization to work. Copies will not be accepted. Learn more at the student employment site.
