Questions:
-
What led you to apply for the A. Purnell Bailey Pre-Ministerial Program for Ordained Ministry?
Not only was it an opportunity to receive an amazing scholarship to a school I really wanted to go to, but it also offered help in the discernment process as I tried to figure out what aspect of ministry I’m called to.
-
What do you like most about the college?
I like the size and how it’s a tight community. You know everybody and nothing is too far away.
-
What is it like being a participant in the Bailey program?
It’s cool. I get to explore aspects of ministry I’d never considered otherwise (like mission work). Some of my fellow Bailey scholars are my closest friends on campus, and it’s great to know I have those people coming from the same direction as me when I need their help.
-
What activities are you involved in on campus?
I’m really involved over at Duncan Memorial UMC, helping out with their youth group, doing devotionals and mentoring. I’m also somewhat involved with Inter-Varsity and I love my job working in the Marketing Department.
-
What makes R-MC special for you?
The people. I know that sounds cheesy, but I’ve met so many awesome people here that I never would have met otherwise and I love them all to death.
-
What are your future vocational plans?
Still working on that. I could see myself as a pastor one day, but I’m definitely not locked into that.
