Questions:

1. What led you to apply for the A. Purnell Bailey Pre-Ministerial Program for Ordained Ministry?

   I have been interested in the ministry for some time and when I found out about the Bailey Program I knew it would be a great opportunity to get a great education and to explore the call to ministry at the same time.

2. What do you like most about the college?

   I really like the extra curricular offerings of the college. Even though Randolph- Macon is a small college there is almost any extra curricular activity you could want, and if what you want is not here you can get it started yourself.

3. What is it like being a participant in the Bailey program?

   It is great being part of this program. We get to meet once a month to discuss different aspects of our faith and the call to ministry. We are also called upon to participate in special services including the Church Service that celebrates the connection between Duncan Memorial UMC and the College.

4. What activities are you involved in on campus?

   I am involved with two of the Choirs on campus. I am in the Concert Choir which is the main choir on campus. I am also in the Chamber choir which is a choir with about 13 people in it. I am also involved with the theater program. I have been doing backstage work and I ran Light Board for our production of “A Christmas Carol.”

5. What makes R-MC special for you?

   R-MC has been a special place to me since I was a child. I have been coming to events here since I was a little kid. R-MC has always seemed like home to me. Since I have come to college here that feeling has only been strengthened.

6. What are your future vocational plans?

   I am not exactly sure what God is calling me to. I am pretty sure that God is calling me to Pastoral ministry eventually. I do not think that God is calling me to that right away. I am sure that God wants me to do some mission work at some point and I think that I would like to do some work with Youth or Young adults.
