Questions:
-
What led you to apply for the A. Purnell Bailey Pre-Ministerial Program for Ordained Ministry?
I had been interested in the ministry throughout high school and a good friend of mine and youth pastor was at R-MC for schooling and informed me of the program.
-
What do you like most about the college?
I really enjoy the relaxed atmosphere but still having the opportunities to get involved and Ashland is small enough to be relaxed but has enough business so you can actually find what you need quickly.
-
What is it like being a participant in the Bailey program?
Relationships are formed with people across campus that encourage you as friends but open the doors to ministry opportunities. We meet frequently to encourage each other as Christians and share insight into God’s calling.
-
What activities are you involved in on campus?
I’m currently playing intramural football with the guys that I live with. Majority of our team is made up of hall mates from Jones so those tight friendships are great.
-
What makes R-MC special for you?
In reference to academics, I enjoy the small classes, which allow for a different environment than larger classes. Randolph Macon is just a relaxed college campus with plenty to do and located in a great southern town.
-
What are your future vocational plans?
To work in an international missions field as a pastor or local church work.
