Athletic Department Benefits:
· increase the chances and opportunities to recruit a higher level student-athlete
· provide one of the finest "athletic department usage only" strength training areas in our league, as well as compete with most anyone at the Division III level
· allow teams to strength train as an entire team to promote team cohesion and team activities
· will be properly equipped to suit both male and female team's weight training needs
Actual Enhancements:
· increase actual weight room size by 30%
· new "Loktuff" ½ inch thick interlocking flooring
· new carpet for team area in annex
· new paint and overall facelift to area
Weight Equipment:
· Olympic lifting platforms w/custom Yellow Jacket logo (4)
· power racks, flat benches, adjustable benches (4 each)
· hang clean stands, neck machines, dumbbell racks, aluminum bars for women (2 each)
· power bars, bumper plates (12 each)
· dumbells (1 set - Hex)
Total Investment:
· $40,000 in flooring, weights and minor
construction costs
· long-term investment, 65% of purchase can be converted once Crenshaw Gymnasium undergoes renovation
