Lacrosse

The Randolph-Macon College women's lacrosse team has been a powerhouse in recent years, as the Yellow Jackets won the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) tournament and advanced to the NCAA Division III playoffs in both 2000 and 2002. In 2005, under new head coach Dan Kanach, R-MC advanced to the ODAC tournament championship game for the first time since 2002, and won nine of the last twelve games of the season. The 2006 and 2007 squad finished third in the conference regular season standings and advanced to the ODAC tournament semifinals both years. The Yellow Jackets are poised for success in 2008 with thirteen returning players, six seniors, and ten newcomers.

Four Yellow Jackets Earn All-ODAC Women’s Lacrosse Laurels; Phelps and Pomeroy Named to First-Team
The Randolph-Macon Women’s Lacrosse team had four of its players named to the All-ODAC teams as the league announced its yearly awards on Friday afternoon. Senior Lacy Phelps and sophomore Logan Pomeroy were named to the first-team, while freshman Erin Clare Cassidy and junior Morgan Hutchinson were second-team choices.
