R-MC’s Brian Vierheller and Derek Murray Earn Men’s Lacrosse All-ODAC Honors
ASHLAND, Va. --- Seniors Brian Vierheller and Derek Murray of Randolph-Macon College have been named to the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Men’s Lacrosse All-Conference Second-Team as the league announced its yearly awards on Wednesday.
Vierheller (Forest Hill, MD/John Carroll) caps off his stellar career between the pipes for the Yellow Jacket men’s lacrosse program with his fourth All-ODAC selection. Vierheller recorded an ODAC career record 925 saves during his four-year stint in Ashland.
In 2007, Vierheller earns Second-Team All-ODAC accolades after making a league best 218 saves while posting a 62.8 save percentage on the season while serving as a captain of the R-MC squad.
Murray (Earlysville, VA/Albemarle) makes his second consecutive appearance on the All-ODAC team after leading the Jackets with 91 ground balls on the season. A team captain himself, Murray also scored on goal and won 91 face-offs during the season.
