Randolph-Macon College golf is consistently one of the school's most competitive athletic programs. In the spring of 2005, the Yellow Jackets won the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) championship for the first time ever. Head coach Jeff Burns was named the conference Coach of the Year, and Blake Smith was the first-place medalist in the championships. The first-place finisher in the Division III Virginia State championships as a freshman, Smith went on to be named first-team all-ODAC for the second time in his career as a senior in 2006, and also won the inaugural conference golf Sportsmanship Award. Freshman Ralston King was named the ODAC co-Rookie of the Year and second-team all-conference, while sophomore Nick Fallon was an Honorable Mention all-ODAC selection.
