Greg Vaughan is in his third year with the Yellow Jackets as the offensive line coach and running game coordinator.
Vaughan came to Randolph-Macon from Division II Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan, where he earned a masters degree in adult and higher education, and served as a graduate assistant football coach for the 2003 and 2004 seasons. At Grand Valley State, he worked with the tight ends and kickers, and the team won the 2003 NCAA Division II national championship.
From 2000 to 2003, Vaughan was special teams coordinator, offensive line coach, and defensive assistant at East Grand Rapids High School in Grand Rapids, Michigan. There, he helped the team to the 2002 Division III state title and conference titles in both 2001 and 2002, and coached all-conference, all-area, and all-state performers. Vaughan also initiated in-season and out-of-season weight and conditioning programs.
A 1999 graduate of Division III Hope College in Holland, Michigan, Vaughan was a defensive lineman, earning all-conference honors in his junior and senior seasons. Vaughan went on to serve as a kicking coach and assistant defensive coach at Hope for one year.
Vaughan earned his B.A. degree in learning disabilities and elementary education from Hope in 1999, winning the Elizabeth VandeBush Award for Future Educators. He is a member of the American Football Coaches Association, and has been involved with numerous football clinics.
Vaughan and his wife Karri live in Ashland with their son Brady William who was born in March.
